ITV loves going global
Global Entertainment (GE) is our distribution arm, and the team focus on selling ITV content (tapes and formats) to broadcasters across the world, acquiring content from other producers, and investing in productions before they’re made if they think they’ll sell well.
It’s primarily about gaining perspective and purpose on whether we can generate secondary revenue from programmes that were commissioned and broadcast originally in the UK. But it’s also about building our audiences across the world – and our ‘three Cs and a G’ philosophy is vital in helping us do just that.
In fact, we’ve already created a catalogue of amazing TV that’s loved around the world – and the team works closely with partners – including networks, channels, platforms, distributors, retailers and producers – to create even more.
GE is also a major publisher of DVDs in the UK and through our international partners, and provides digital services through established relationships with our digital friends like iTunes, Netflix, Amazon and Hulu.
On top of that, our Kids team represents some of today’s biggest and best-loved brands and builds partnerships with licensees, retailers and agents to bring licensed products to consumers wherever they are.
GE is based in London, Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Sydney, and you can find out more about the team and what it does here.
Global Entertainment is a great business area to work within with a variety of roles on offer from Marketing Manager, Sales & Contract Co-ordinator, International Format Coordinator, Business Development Manager to a Finance Analyst to name a few.
