I'm a production executive at ITV, I work in the non-scripted department for ITV studios. I work with the entertainment development team which means that I budget their ideas once there's a spark of interest from somewhere I work with them to get together all of the figures, which is quite interesting because it's working on programmes that absolutely haven't been seen before, so I get first look at what we're up to which is great. I also work with the global entertainment formats consultant, assist her in getting the formats information out to the various companies that decide to make our formats, not just our own production companies but our formats get sold all over the world. We've also just sent somebody out to China a couple of times because there's a Chinese version of 'Surprise Surprise' which is in production at the moment. I came in on a three month contract and I've just enjoyed the people that I've worked with - it is the people that make the difference here.

TV Production Jobs with ITV
ITV Studios is the largest and most successful commercial production company in the country producing around 4,500 hours of television in 2012 alone for the UK and Internationally.
We produce programmes across a wide range of genres - from drama and entertainment, to factual and lifestyle across the UK broadcasters including Coronation Street, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, Emmerdale, This Morning, Vera, Marchlands, Dancing On Ice, Come Dine With Me and Four Weddings. More recently we have seen the drama Mrs Biggs and A Mother's Son come to our screens to great acclaim!
But these shows don’t make themselves, there’s an army of talented professionals behind the scenes pulling it all together. ITV Studios’s TV Production Jobs range from the more technical positions such as sound, camera and vision and post-production roles such as edit assistants to administrative and management staff and those managing the studio facilities across the country.
This is not forgetting the people who originate ideas. We look for talented individuals to make these programmes happen from entry level roles such as Runners and Loggers, through to Researchers, Producers and Directors. We have staff positions in some areas and in others we are looking for individuals who are flexible to come and work for different time periods, often at short notice, depending on the production.
It covers a lot more than even that though – we’re talking about talented music teams, award-winning Script Writers and live production teams who are always on the ball.
