ITV loves opportunities that float our boat.

If you’re over 18 and want to find out whether TV production work is the kind of thing that floats your boat, our Insight Programme can give you a brilliant taste of what it’s like to work here at ITV.

For starters, you’ll have membership of the ITV Insight Talent Pool. That means priority access to any Insight placements that become available across the business. These can be up to two weeks and pop up at any time.

Once you’re on a placement, you’ll enjoy the chance to get involved on top of shadowing an experienced colleague, so you’ll really get to grips with what it’s all about. And fast, too.

It’s all about meeting and learning from people who really know their stuff, building up a network of contacts, and experiencing the inner workings of the TV industry. All of which will give you a brilliant head start when it comes to your career.

Getting with the Programme

  1. You’ll need to apply online at our ITVJobs.com website, so try to make your application the best it can be.
  2.  If you’re successful, you’ll be invited to join our ITV Insight Talent Pool group. Once you’re there, keep an eye out for placements and opportunities posted just for members.
  3. If you spot one that catches your eye, send your CV and short cover note to the specified email address. This is your chance to convince the team that you’re the one.
  4. If we choose you for a placement opportunity, our team will be in touch to discuss placement arrangements.

Remember, getting into our Insight Talent Pool doesn’t guarantee a placement at ITV. But once you’re a member, you’ll have access to the great opportunities offered through the group. However, so will everyone else, which is why it’s important to make your CV relevant to the opportunities you’re interested in. We want you to have the best chance possible of gaining a placement!

We open Insight placements according to business availability and that depends on a number of factors (things like shooting schedules, how busy we are, and the area of the business you want to experience).

It’s also a volunteering scheme, which allows you to get involved and gain hands-on experience wherever possible, for up to two weeks. Because of this all placements are unpaid and we can’t reimburse your travel costs.

How to apply

Our Insight Programme opens will open again in October, which means you’ll have three windows of opportunity to apply each year. We can’t guarantee that the range of placement areas on offer will be the same each time, so if your area of interest isn’t included, check the next Insight window.
