Commissioning & Programme Strategy

ITV is the home of high-quality, popular television from the biggest entertainment events to original drama soaps, sport, factual series and independent news, both national and regional. The ITV Commissioning teams are structured into genre teams: Entertainment, Comedy Entertainment, Factual Entertainment, Factual, Drama, News and Current Affairs, Sport, and Daytime. Each genre team is led by a Director/Head of Commissioning with Commissioning Editors, Commissioners, Coordinators and support staff.

A Commissioning job  means responsibility for the development, creative management and commissioning of programmes across our family of channels. This includes finding new hit programmes and overseeing the development of existing well-known series.
