Here at ITV, there’s no such thing as a typical finance job. There are a wide range of roles that touch every element of our business, from Product Placement to Pensions, from Take Me Out to Tax, and from working with Corrie to dealing with the City. The Finance teams operate across the country, in a number of locations, doing different roles. Many staff work solely on specific programmes, while others fulfil more regular finance roles like Treasury and Technical Accounting. One thing they do all have in common though, is that the work of every single team – from programme idea to on-screen transmission – is valued as crucial to the success of the company. That’s why they need people who can look beyond the numbers, and who can work alongside the rest of the business to make sure the right decisions are made every step of the way.

In addition to the core Finance teams, there are a host of other teams overseeing all elements of the financial workings of our company including the Business Service Centre (BSC), Tax, Procurement and, as mentioned, Treasury.

Core Finance

Our Finance teams are aligned to a specific part of our business, whether this is Studios, Broadcast, Online Pay and Interactive or Global Entertainment, they partner with their business area to support at each level.

The teams work with their respective area to set budgets, monitor and report financial performance, manage cost efficiencies and facilitate decision-making through the provision of relevant management information. Liaison with finance colleagues across ITV also helps to make sure decisions are made to optimise their areas performance, as well as that of the wider business.

Group Finance

Group Finance is where it all comes together. They work closely with all finance and business departments across the group, pulling together the results and analysis from Broadcast & Online and from all our Studio divisions around the world. The big set pieces are around producing half and full year accounts in order to report to the stock exchange, as well as the Group budget and 5 year plan report to the Board. A key part of their role is to support other teams in the centre, assisting teams like Tax, Treasury, Pensions and M&A.

The Procurement team supports the business with spend across a wide variety of areas and has a dedicated category specialist for Production, Technology, Travel, Marketing and Workplace Services. Procurement support in reducing risk and can help the business in making processes faster, more efficient and audit traceable.
