HR plays a vital role at ITV, our HR Team supports the business to deliver its strategy by putting people at the heart of what we do. Working closely with the business to enable business success, drive cultural change, deliver efficiencies and support people management and development. Within HR, there are business partnering teams and Centres of Expertise.

HR Business Partners 

The Business Partnering teams are aligned to a specific part of our business, whether this is Studios, Commercial, Channels, OPI or the Shared Service teams like Finance, Legal or Technology. They partner with their business area to support the delivery of their part of ITV strategy. This may involve supporting on development opportunities, talent management and succession, a restructure of the business area or looking at the reward and progression of the team. Within the business partnering teams there are a number of roles including HR Manager and Head of HR. These business-facing HR positions report into an HR Director supporting each business area.

HR Services & Operations

HR Services is the key to making HR work. Based in Manchester, they’re the first port of call for all HR queries and as a result, they manage all the transactional activity that flows through HR. This includes over 3,300 contractual documents, 160 flexible working applications and 550 season ticket loans each year. The team manages nearly all the HR admin across ITV. HR Operations provide support on all operational HR activity. If a new employment law legislation is introduced, they’ll make sure all our policies, procedures and processes are up to date and ready to go. The Operations team also gets involved in a wide variety of project work like the new HR system, the integration of a new business like UTV, and the review of HR suppliers like Occupational Health or career transition support, so they all offer us best-in-class service. 

Reward & Pensions

Underpinning the recruitment, development and retention of talent, our Reward team help reward excellence. The team is responsible for our overall reward strategy. This includes everything from managing and delivering our comprehensive reward and benefits package to equal pay monitoring to international reward. The roles in the team include Head of Reward and Reward and Benefits Analyst. 

The Pensions team is on hand to give us all the information we need regarding our pensions options. Whether dealing with employees who left us or someone who just joined, the team uses their expertise to guide us through the many paths available.

Resourcing, Talent & Development

The Resourcing, Talent & Development team understands that careers at ITV are important and they are committed to supporting ITV colleagues throughout their career. They want to make sure they have the right tools to be the best they can be and provide access to a variety of opportunities both on the job and workshop based, so that ITV Colleagues can develop their career. 

HR Systems

The HR Systems team is key to making our numerous systems work and providing us with meaningful data. Currently, they support a variety of systems like those used by our Resourcing team and our HR database, which contains the records of around 22,000 employees, ex-employees and emergency contacts. The team is headed by a HR Systems and Management Information Manager and supported by a team of Analysts.
