12 Yard

12 Yard Productions was founded in 2001 by the creative team behind the worldwide hit The Weakest Link and Hat Trick Productions. 12 Yard quickly grew to become one of the world’s most successful entertainment format creators, producing hit formats including the BBC’s long-running daytime quiz Eggheads, Saturday night BBC One lottery formats In It to Win It and Who Dares Wins, primetime feel-good format Big Star’s Little Star for ITV, and Coach Trip for Channel 4.

The company was acquired by ITV in 2007. Since then, we’ve built on previous successes with all UK broadcasters across the schedule, including a new lottery format, 5 Star Family Reunion and garden make-over show The Instant Gardener for BBC One daytime. We’ve also developed and produced a comedy entertainment panel show for BBC Two, Insert Name Here, hosted by Sue Perkins.

Format creation is key to 12 Yard's success and our in-house development team work closely with our producers at all stages of development and production. Many of our finished programmes and formats are sold around the world and have become hit shows in various countries.

With offices in both London and Glasgow, we pride ourselves on being a welcoming company that people talk positively about working for and are constantly looking to build experience within our teams and develop careers in the industry. We recognise the value to our business that each individual can add.
